前回の漢詩「梅香山居」(七言絶句)と漢詩「哭A先生」(七言律詩)の英訳です

Title: "A house in a mountain scented with Japanese apricot blossoms"

Among the mountains, the wind newly occurred,
and it blew a good fragrance scented from somewhere.
A countryman who was living by himself
was looking at a branch of a Japanese apricot tree.

When he had gotten drunk,
the white Japanese apricot blossoms like the snow had bloomed,
and the notice for coming to spring had come fast.
When the cold which had remained
in the end of the coldest season decreased slightly,
a Japanese bush warbler was coming here.

Title: "Grieving and crying for the death of Mr. A"

Because everyone knew the death of Mr. A suddenly,
remembering his gentle face,
overflowed tears from their eyes were flowing their cheeks.

The notice for beginning to bloom the Japanese apricot blossoms
gradually opened a way of the trees which the blossoms had bloomed.
My sad and deep thought making my mind dark
was just about to know about the time when the blossoms fell.

The numbers and chapters of his prose and poetry
which he composed were about the fun of the persons
in the 唐(Táng) dynasty of ancient China.
The discussions which I and he did each other
were about the figure of the main character
of The Tale of Genji, "Hikarugenji".

All night long, I worked hard to compose a poem,
and I had never-ending sorrows.
When I looked back on the many years,
I was sad like this.
